Paula Deen dumps longtime agent over N word controversy fallout

In the wake of the ongoing controversy over Paula Deen's past use of racial slurs, the embattled butter-loving chef has decided to sever ties with her longtime agent. The former Food Network star, 66, confirmed Thursday that she would not be moving forward with representative Barry Weiss. Deen's public relations disaster began with a suit from former employee Lisa Jackson, who alleged that Deen and her brother Bubba had created a hostile, racist atmosphere at their restaurant. In a deposition, Deen replied that she had "of course" used the N-word once beofre in her life, citing as an example a time that she was held at gunpoint by an African-American man in 1986
